Quantum

Quantum is where field collection meets project management and where project management delivers meaningful data back to our Utility partners. The Quantum iOS mobile application runs on iPhone and iPad and performs many distinct field collection processes. From simple-feature meter exchange services, to overhead Pole Loading Programs, data is collected in the field and uploaded to Quantum – our web-based management studio where activity is tracked for each distinct phase including, but not limited to: Initial collection, quality assurance, field revisits and safety.

Web Management

Quantum is proprietorially written software for the utilities industry developed in-house at QUES. Quantum allows the tracking, auditing, collection, and quality control of many different types of assets all through a map-based orientation system which is served through the web. No downloads, or calls to your IT service, it’s as simple as going to a web browser for management.

Mobile Collection

Quantum pairs with a companion mobile app of the same name, serving as the hub for collection processes. From safety inspections to preconstruction data gathering, Quantum is highly configurable and customizable, requiring no developer intervention. As a result, it meets the vast majority of business application requirements for utility inspections.

Field Collection

Quantum offers dynamic field collection based on specific phases. This means that the data collected can either change or remain consistent based on your specifications. Want your field inspectors to see check boxes instead of a drop down? With Quantum, traditional mobile device modifications that used to be expensive and time-consuming can now be implemented in just minutes by a Project Manager or Foreman.

GIS/Navigation

Quantum provides field users with a geographical view of an asset’s location. From this interface, users can seamlessly utilize the integrated Apple Maps navigation to direct them straight to the asset, eliminating the need for an address.

Quality Control

Quantum empowers field managers to conduct quality control (QC) tasks anytime, anywhere via its web interface. The QC page displays assets organized by utility or user-defined permits. It facilitates editing of field data, and supports viewing, rotating, and augmenting data in field collections. Additionally, field managers can comment on and return a collection to field users just by rejecting the inspection.

Distribution Conversion

Quantum offers field managers the flexibility to conduct QC tasks from anywhere, anytime via its web interface. On the QC page, assets are categorized by utility or user-defined permits. This interface not only enables the editing, viewing, rotating, and augmentation of field data but also allows managers to add comments. If an inspection doesn’t meet standards, managers can easily send the collection back to the field user with a simple rejection.

Phase Process Example

Quantum’s web interface enables users to view data and photos using a map-based system, compatible with traditional KMZ overlays your utility might already employ. Within this system, users can monitor their assets through real-time color-coded statuses. As assets progress or transition to a different phase, their representative icon updates its color accordingly.

Reporting Data & Users and Organizations

Quantum can generate PDFs based on your specified criteria and deliver them for each asset. It also supports various Excel delivery options with web-based filtering. Moreover, QUES can automate email reports and seamlessly integrate with diverse customer-specific web APIs, guaranteeing prompt and high-quality data delivery.

Quantum can also report on each user defined phase of their project. Providing immediate insight into the progress of each phases. Organization and areas of improvement are easily identified and captured for resolution.
